Trees Upstate Turkey Day Run

The 15th annual Trees Upstate Turkey Day Run, presented by Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas, was held Thanksgiving morning in downtown Greenville. The run raised over $150,000 to help Trees Upstate plant, promote and protect trees, according to event organizers. Over 100 volunteers and 6,000 individuals registered for the Nov. 23, 2023 event. Taylors Turkey Day Run

Eastside High School hosted the 32nd Taylors Turkey Day Run Thanksgiving morning. The family-friendly event benefits Greer Community Ministries. Donations included 1,000 pounds of food for the pantry and $1,112. Through 10 months, Greer Community Ministries has distributed a total value for food pantry items only of $193,717, serving a total of 3,593 people in the Greer Community with food pantry assistance in the same 10-month period for an average of 360 individuals served each month.
