Greenville City Council, District 1
The city of Greenville is the model by which other cities measure themselves.
They visit us to understand how our crime rate is so low and how we protect our neighborhoods by investing in pocket parks, pedestrian safety and sidewalks. They come to understand how we came to lead South Carolina in investing in affordable housing. They learn how we collaborate and keep Washington DC-style politics out of City Council.
They come to learn how we achieved Knox White’s vision for Greenville as the most livable and beautiful city in America.
Knowing that, why would we replace the mayor who got us here?
Knox White has always put neighborhoods first. He worked to establish 46 neighborhood associations and empower their voice.
Knox White is hawkish on law enforcement, public safety, and small business. In other cities in America, office space sits vacant, storefronts are shuttered, and tent cities are taking over.
Knox White’s leadership and perseverance has fueled some of Greenville’s biggest ideas, like Fluor Field, Liberty Bridge, Falls Park, Unity Park and locally owned retailers that line Main Street.
Greenville is not without the challenges success brings, such as affordability, traffic and growth. Knox White leads the charge to address each of those. The city is rolling out solutions he crafted and championed.
I hope you will celebrate all that we love about Greenville and help to preserve and protect the city we proudly call home. Please join me in voting for Knox White for Mayor.
