Mission Statement
Rebuild Upstate is a nonprofit organization that exists to repair the homes of the community’s low-income neighbors, preserving affordable housing by making houses safer, healthier and more livable.
Since its inception, Rebuild Upstate has repaired more than 1,300 homes for Upstate residents.
Building one affordable house, using volunteers, costs on average approximately $120,000. The average cost for Rebuild Upstate to perform all necessary repairs on one home comes to about $6,000.
Still, the organization reports that more than 1,000 homeowners in the Upstate live in unsafe, subpar housing.
Leadership:
Jake Beaty, CEO
Johnathan Hill, board chair
