Mission statement
Fostering Great Ideas restores hope to children in foster care through innovative ideas built on meaningful relationships.
Impact
There are over 1,000 children in the Upstate foster care system. Children experience anguish when their familiar world is broken apart.
Fostering Great Ideas was founded to mend the broken places of the child’s journey. We are built on the premise that strong relationships matter most: healthy relationships with parents, siblings, caregivers, mentors, tutors, case workers — each important as these people revolve around the child’s world.
Fostering Great Ideas provides healing and stability — we rebuild sibling and parent relationships; we provide tutor and mentor relationships for these children to succeed; we offer multiple opportunities for our community to learn and respond together. Children we serve heal and begin to thrive, not merely survive.
