NAR reports 5.2% decline in March pending home sales

The National Association of Realtors announced pending home sales decreased 5.2% in March 2023 when compared to February 2023.

NAR found a 23.2% decrease in home sales from March 2022 compared to March 2023.

NAR’s March 2023 pending home sales numbers by region include:

Northeast — 8.1% decrease
Midwest — 10.7% decrease
South — 0.2% increase
West — 8% decrease

“The lack of housing inventory is a major constraint to rising sales,” said NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun. “Multiple offers are still occurring on about a third of all listings and 28% of homes are selling above list price. Limited housing supply is simply not meeting demand nationally.”

Joan Herlong & Associates Sotheby’s International Realty has announced its top agents for the first quarter of 2023.

In the Greenville office, Herlong, Loveless and Snyder had the most listings sold, and Bolt and Crider were the top sales agents. In the Clemson office, Bostrom had the most listing sold, and Kingsmore was one the top sales agent. Clemson’s Vogel also topped the list of agents in sales to buyers and listings sold.
