As the Greenville Journal mentioned in our feature on Fall for Greenville and its amazing history, the food festival runs on an army of volunteers. And this year, it’s no different.
Heading into Thursday night’s kick-off concert, the three-and-a-half day event is particularly in need of help selling tickets and serving beer on Saturday, Oct. 9 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., said Tara Eaker, the city’s deputy director of parks, recreation and tourism.

All volunteers receive a Bank of America Fall for Greenville volunteer tee-shirt and a sheet of Taste Tickets for every shift they work.
But for those who sign up for that Saturday evening shift, organizers will throw in another two sheets of Taste Tickets, Eaker said.
“The festival provides a great opportunity to be a part of one of the largest events of the year. Bring a few friends or come out to meet new people. Once your shift is over, we invite you to enjoy all the festival has to offer,” she said.
