Spooky season is over so what comes next? Thoughts of Thanksgiving, of course.
For those looking to contribute to the spirit of the season, Miracle Hill Ministries will hold its annual Turkey Fry Nov. 26. The organization, which assists those battling homelessness and addiction, needs volunteers to help smoke 600 turkeys and serve meals.

Miracle Hill will also hold a donations drive Nov. 15-16 at 725 Keith Drive in Greenville and at the Spartanburg Rescue Mission at 189 N. Forest Drive in Spartanburg. Donation are also accepted at 490 S. Pleasantburg Drive Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This will be the 18th year for the Turkey Fry.

For many in the restaurant industry, the term “family meal” refers to a free meal served to staff before service.
In Greenville, it is indicative of the city’s largest free Thanksgiving meal. Sort of similar, no?
On Nov. 25, Gratefull GVL will hold its annual free meal offering food provided and served by local restaurants. The Thanksgiving meal takes place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on downtown Greenville’s Main Street bridge.

PKL Park and its three eateries are delayed a little longer.
Although initially planned for October, then delayed to Nov. 1 following Hurricane Helene, the pickleball park announced a further delay but did not give a definite date. Those looking forward to breakfast options from Toastified, over-the-top chicken sandwiches from Coop’s Crazy Chicken, and a full bar at The Kitchen will have to wait a little longer.
PKL Park is located at 78 Mayberry St. next to Unity Park in downtown Greenville.
