Following the unexpected closure of downtown’s Eighth State Brewing in September, there was some question as to if its newest kitchen tenant, Little Secret, would find a home.
Look no further. Beginning Nov. 22, the concept will move into Taylors Mill with Junto Coffee. Since the September closure, founder chef Conner Hinderks, has kept busy with pop-ups at spots like Bar Margaret, an appearance at the Highlands Food & Wine Festival, and hauling supplies to those affected by Hurricane Helene in North Carolina.
The food concept spotlights Asian cuisine using local produce. Hinderks built his career in New Orleans for about a decade before moving to Greenville in April 2024; he started Little Secret in August.
Little Secret will be at Junto Coffee Friday through Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for brunch. Taylors Mill is located at 226 Mill St. in Taylors.

You may have heard of the new Greek and Italian eatery, Kouzina, now located at the former HabiTap space near Woodruff Road. But do you know why it’s here?
The business was brought to Greenville by Vasileios Skoulikaritis. His family moved here from New Hampshire roughly nine months ago. When the space opened up at 1325 Miller Road, they decided to go for it. Although the family is originally from Greece, they had no idea that Greenville had a Greek community.
“I was close to Boston, I used to go a lot, and there’s a lot of Greeks there. New York has a strong Greek community (and) Montreal, up in Canada,” Skoulikaritis said. “But when I came here and I saw what’s going on, I’m like, ‘Wait, I never heard about it.’”
Between moving and opening Kouzina, Skoulikaritis volunteered at the city’s Greek festival in May.
The Greenville newcomer prides himself on the restaurant’s gyros.
“Me and my brothers, [we] make it as as authentic as possible,” he said.
Fun fact: ‘Kouzina’ means ‘kitchen’ in Greek; it’s so-named because the goal is to make food like Skoulikaritis’ mother, Georgia Gravani. Also, Gravani helps out at the restaurant, so it really is a family affair.
